A new downtown office building has been recognized with a Canadian Consulting Engineer Award for sustainability.
351 Water Street, designed by Stantec for East Port Properties, is the first building in the province to use seawater technology for heat and cooling.
It was the first new office building in the capital city in 25 years and the first to use precast concrete in its design and construction.
The building is LEED Registered, and is looking towards Gold certification.
Stantec captured a total of five awards at the Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards in Ottawa yesterday.
