  • Bad Drivers Keep Metro Police Busy Overnight

    A few drivers were stopped in the metro region last night.

    A 26-year-old woman was charged with driving while suspended just after 9:00 p.m. around Cornwall Avenue. And a 40-year-old man was stopped after midnight in the Newfoundland Drive area and was charged with no insurance, expired registration, and failure to transfer ownership. The drivers were released from custody and their vehicles impounded.

    A 38-year-old man was stopped in the east end and charged with impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer. An 18-year-old man was stopped in the early hours of the morning on Bonaventure Avenue and charged with impaired driving. They will both appear in court at a later date.
