  • Canada Health Issues Alarm Recall

Health Canada has issued a recall of some smoke and carbon monoxide alarms that are hard-wired into a home’s electrical power.

The Kidde NightHawk talking combo smoke and carbon monoxide alarm models (KN-COSM-IBCA and KN-COSM-ICA) were manufactured between June 1st of 2004 and March of 2011.

Health Canada says the alarm can fail to chirp when it reaches its seven-year end of life, leading homeowners to believe the alarm is still working when it is not.

Information on the recall can be found at this link: https://inmarmarketaction.com/kidde217/kidde-ca-entry/
