Cricket NL has announced the winners of its fall cricket tournament, which concluded this weekend in the capital city.
Twelve teams competed in the tournament over a two-month period, culminating in the championship’s finals on Saturday night at the PowerPlex in St. John’s.
Pakistan Students Association claimed top title in the ‘A Championship,’ winning against the Avengers in the final match. The Newfoundland Super Kings beat the Royal Challengers for bronze.
The ‘B Championship’ was postponed due to time constraints, but the Eagles took the bronze medal over Avalon CC.
The Lions won the ‘C Championship,’ toppling the Bangladesh Tigers- Green. While the Sharks took bronze, beating St. John’s United.
Saeed Khan was named the tournament’s ‘Best Bat,’ Manvir Mann took the title of ‘Best Bowler,’ and Maanik Arora was ‘Most Valuable Player.’
Cricket NL says the final match for the ‘B Championship’ will be played at a later date.
