The Canadian Coast Guard has issued a warning to snowmobilers in the areas of Quirpon, Griquet, and St. Anthony.
The Coast Guard says it was unable to retrieve all buoys in the region, so they will be left out for the remainder of the winter. They caution that the unretrieved buoys could pose a hazard to snowmobilers when they freeze in the ice.
