A man and a woman have been charged following an unusual incident in Happy Valley-Goose Bay last month.
RCMP initially received a call from a woman who claimed that her husband was threatening to drive around town and throw cherry bombs at people randomly until he was stopped by police.
RCMP immediately responded and arrested 54-year-old Nelson Hillier for a number of offences including a charge of uttering threats.
Police say after further investigation they determined that the man’s wife had made up the initial threat. 44-year-old Jody Blake was charged today with public mischief.
She’s been released to appear in court December 12.
The charge of uttering threats was subsequently dropped against Hillier.
