Crews were called to the scene of a fire at the construction site of a new hotel in downtown St. John's at 5:00 this morning
Firefighters with St. John's Regional extinguished the blaze in the cab of the crane shortly after arriving there. Firefighters have since left the area, but RNC are holding the scene while they investigate the cause. There were no injuries in the incident.
The hotel is being built on the corner of Water Street and Harbour Drive, across from the old Fortis building.
