A family with deep Newfoundland roots is making history in Fort McMurray.
Darrell Simms, who grew up in the Goulds is the father of quadruplets. He and his wife Annie are the proud parents of Heidi, Julia, Carter and Nate who came into the world October 30th.
They already have a daughter, Payton.
The incidence of quadruplets is very rare, just a one in 800,000 chance.
A Facebook page and GoFundMe account have been opened for the couple who now have a whole lot more mouths to feed.
It’s the first set of quadruplets ever born in Fort McMurray which hundreds of Newfoundlanders now call home.
