Another Foote is stepping up for the Liberal nomination in Bonavista-Burin-Trinity.
Burin Peninsula RCMP staff sergeant Dale Foote is the latest name to throw his hat in the ring for the Liberal nomination in the district.
Foote announced his intention to run for the riding in Burin today and says his experience as an officer has prepared him for the role.
He says he was born and raised in the riding and as an officer with the RCMP has seen the problems facing people in the region including a lack of sustainable employment and the effect it’s had on individuals and families.
Foote is running against Churence Rogers and Pete Soucy who have already declared their intention to seek the Liberal nomination in the district.
Foote says he already has the support of his community, and says now is the time to take the next step to help the people on the Burin Peninsula and beyond.
He says he’s ready to take on the challenge, and anyone who knows him knows he’s a dog for work.
Foote says he’s for the people, and he wants to take his public service to the next level.
