Another surprising incident has been captured on dashcam, this time on the Team Gushue Highway.
Video provided to VOCM News shows two vehicles heading the wrong direction on the highway, on the Kenmount Road overpass near the new Team Gushue Extension. The video was captured today, shortly after 2:00 p.m.
In the video, traffic heading southeast on the route comes to a stop, as the two vehicles are seen approaching from the wrong direction in the inside lane.
The driver of a pickup truck attempts to catch the attention of the drivers by waving their arm outside their window, before continuing on their way.
Niall, who recorded the video, says that they witnessed one of the vehicles turn around and correct their route shortly after the video was recorded.
The Team Gushue Extension was just recently opened in order to cut travel times and strain on busy routes through the metro area. Drivers used to be able to head westbound from an exit on Kenmount Road, however that left turn was converted into an exit lane when the extension opened.
The RNC encourages drivers to pay attention to signage along roadways, especially when it comes to new routes.
