A man in central owing thousands in outstanding fines is now facing multiple charges after he was stopped by police yesterday.
Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP stopped a vehicle on Cromer Avenue in the town.
Police found the driver did not have a licence, was suspended from driving, and was breaking probation. The man’s vehicle was uninsured and unregistered, and the man owed $17,000 in outstanding fines.
The vehicle was impounded, and the driver was charged with failing to comply with a court order, driving while suspended, operating a vehicle without insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle.
The driver was scheduled to appear in Grand Falls-Windsor Provincial Court today.
