The St. John’s Edge is off to a perfect start on home court.
The Edge swept the weekend series versus the Niagara River Lions, handing the team their first two losses of the season.
An 11-point run in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference as the Edge sailed past the River Lions 105-91 on Saturday Night.
Carl English lead the offensive charge for the hometown team with a game-high 33 points, combined with six rebounds and two assists. Charles Hinkle also put up 27 points for St. John’s in the win.
The Edge is back in action Tuesday against the London Lightning at the Mile One Centre. Tip-off is at 7 PM.
