As spring draws near and temperatures rise, so does the risk of flooding. Environment Canada is advising folks across the province to take steps to avoid flood damage ahead of a thaw.
Rain is forecast to spread across most of the island tomorrow. Partnered with strong winds and mild temperatures it will bring significant snow melt and runoff.
Before that happens, Environment Canada is encouraging people to clear storm drains, and ensure there are adequate paths for the runoff to flow away from homes.
