Driving has deteriorated as a “Sheilagh’s Brush” slap from Mother Nature blankets most of the island. Central Newfoundland is in for 15 or 20 cm, the east coast and south coast 20-25 and the Avalon Peninsula about 15. The west coast sits this one out.

The snow and ice will turn to rain later tonight and continue throughout tomorrow.

Winds will be 40-50 for most areas throughout.

PAL Airlines and Aerospace meteorologist Brian Walsh says while temperatures will warm and rain will fall, it won’t be enough to melt the new snow which is going to fall.
