There is a freezing rain warning out for our region tonight.
Snow will begin overnight tonight before quickly changing to freezing rain that will persist until mid morning tomorrow before changing to rain showers as temperatures rise above freezing.
Drivers are advised to exercise caution during the morning commute tomorrow, as accumulating freezing rain will result in hazardous travel conditions.
Many areas of Eastern Newfoundland may receive several hours of freezing rain early Thursday morning, including the Avalon. It may last 3-5 hours with the potential for 5-10 mm of ice accumulation (just under half an inch). The Thursday morning commute will be messy #nlwx
