19-year-old Graham Veitch, the young man charged with first degree murder in the death of David Collins has been found fit to stand trial.
Veitch was ordered to undergo a psychiatric assessment following an incident at his Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove home on December 18.
Collins, a well known and respected pharmacist died as the result of an incident inside the home. The young man’s mother and brother were also injured after Veitch allegedly assaulted them with a hammer.
Veitch’s lawyer Mark Gruchy says he’s scheduled to return to court January 30 for election and plea.
