The Gulf ferries are tied up for a third straight day as high winds continue to batter the island.
Marine Atlantic has bumped today’s lunchtime sailings between Port aux Basques and North Sydney to tomorrow, as winds are gusting to 80 km/h.
The night crossings have been moved earlier. The crossing from Port aux Basques to North Sydney for tonight is now scheduled to depart at 7:00 p.m.
At the same time, the North Sydney to Port aux Basques crossing for tonight has been shifted to 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.

It will be windy all day and all night on the island with winds at about 70-80 kmh for most areas, including the Avalon Peninsula, the west coast, and the south coast. Winds will also be a factor tomorrow, although they do diminish slightly.
