Newfoundland and Labrador’s Brad Gushue is on the verge of becoming the winningest skip in Brier history.
Gushue, representing Canada at this year’s tournament, is 2-0. Last night’s victory gave him 113 wins, tying Kevin Martin and Russ Howard. Howard joined his team to win Olympic gold in Turin.
Gushue plays two matches today at 11:30 Nfld time (Northwest Territories) and the marquee matchup at 9:30 vs Mike McEwan.
Meanwhile, Greg Smith of NL is 0-2 but in both matches had a lead going into the late ends. He too plays at 11:30 am and 9:30 pm.
