The town of Holyrood is pulling out all the stops to mark the 50th anniversary of incorporation next year.
The town last night launched a new Holyrood 50 logo in anticipation of celebrations planned for 2019. Holyrood was incorporated in 1969 under Mayor Burt Keough and his council.
Mayor Gary Goobie says the new logo featuring Holyrood’s iconic George Cove Mountain will help to highlight Come Home Year activities that will be the key focus of next year’s celebrations.
A special Holyrood 50 festival is planned for July 12- 21st of next year. Details of planned events will take be unveiled in the coming months.
