The executive director of the John Howard Society is anxious to see the conclusions and recommendations of an investigation into recent deaths at provincial correctional facilities.
Cindy Murphy says she was asked, and did participate in the investigation.
It was launched by the provincial government, and is being conducted by retired RNC superintendent Marlene Jesso.
Murphy says they have provided information to the investigation along with recommendations on how they feel things could be improved. She says she’s hopeful for some real, positive change.
Murphy says she hasn’t received anything official, but is hopeful to hear something by late Fall.
