The Town of Gander is in a tight spot with the sewage treatment plant virtually at capacity, but help may be on the way.
The town has been after the provincial government to help fund a new facility, but to date the answer has been no.
Without additional wastewater treatment, new development could be restricted.
Area MP Scott Simms says he is well aware of the issue, and hopes to address it soon. He was in central Newfoundland last week to announce about $9-million for other water-related projects.
