  • Maggie Connors Bringing Home the Bronze

    Newfoundland’s Maggie Connors is coming home from Russia with a bronze medal.

    Team Canada defeated Team Russia 5-1 in the bronze medal showdown at the 2018 IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship on Saturday.

    Connors had a team leading 7 shots on goal and picked up an assist in the winning effort.

    In 6 tournament games Connors tallied 1 goal and 2 assists, was a plus 3 and recorded 30 shots on goal.

    This is the 11th consecutive year Team Canada has medalled at the Under-18 World’s. They now have four gold, six silver and a bronze.
