A candidate for mayor in the upcoming St. John’s municipal election gave many a wake-up call over the weekend. Quite literally.
Several in the city, and some outside of it, received a robocall from the Andy Wells campaign asking the recipient to complete a survey and visit Wells’ website. Some reported receiving the calls between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
Many took to social media complaining about the early hour weekend call, including some who had the phone ringing in Mount Pearl and CBS.
Wells took to his twitter account with an apology, saying the calls would stop.
Apologies to all and we have stopped calls.
