Condolences are pouring in for the woman who had stage IV breast cancer when she won $1.5 million in the lottery.
Diane Bishop passed away yesterday at the age of 51. She was the franchisee of the Needs Convenience in Mount Pearl, and despite her illness was compelled to continue working to ensure an income was coming in.
The lotto winnings enabled Bishop to acquire some specialized furniture for her house to make her final weeks more comfortable.
When Bishop collected her prize, she referred to it as a miracle, as her two sons would be financially set after her passing.
