The City of St. John’s, Mount Pearl and Paradise are coming together to find ways to improve the Waterford River.
Heavy development along the river has had an obvious impact over the years, so the municipalities are investing in a watershed study as a first step in bringing the river back to its former glory.
Randy Simms is the Mayor of Mount Pearl, he says he wants to see a healthy Waterford River.
Once the study is complete the three municipalities will meet with the Waterford Valley Rotary Club and decide how to move forward.
Simms says he hopes the study will bring great changes.
