A giant floor map of the province has joined the list of attractions at The Manuels River Hibernia Interpretation Centre, and while it is the first of its kind in the country, it is not one of a kind. The centre owns two large-scale renditions of the map.
Coordinators rolled out the colourful canvas for the first time, as part of a funding announcement made by the Hibernia Management and Development Company yesterday.
The centre invested in a pair of interactive maps, so that they could maximize the experience for a wider audience of students. Schools can apply online to book the duplicate geographic diagram for three weeks at a time.
Jennifer Walck, president of the Hibernia Management and Development Company, says it’s important to make learning engaging for young people.
