A nine-year-old palliative care patient from Nova Scotia is en route to St. John’s to see his great grandmother, thanks to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
Leeland Hill has brain cancer, and knows his time is short. His wish was to simply visit his great grandmother in St. John’s, and today he’s on his way across the island with the help of local RCMP.
Hill and his parents arrived in Port aux Basques at 7:00 a.m. this morning, and have a police escort along the Trans-Canada Highway, stopping at RCMP detachments along the way. He’s expected to arrive in St. John’s this evening.
