The victim, a man believed to be in his thirties, died in hospital. A 31-year-old man was been taken into custody. He will appear in court in this morning. RNC say this was not a random act of violence as the victim and attacker were known to each other.
Some people in the area claim the victim may have arrived on the scene in a cab.
One man, who lives in the area of Mundy Pond Road told VOCM News he saw the injured man lying in the street. He was about to render assistance when an ambulance arrived.
The RNC’s Major Crime Unit, assisted by the Forensic Identification Section, is continuing the investigation.
