Kaetlyn Osmond has opened up about her decision to hold on to Marystown as her hometown throughout her decorated career as a world class figure skater.
She says she considers Edmonton home and she points out that she has lived most of her life there, but she admits it’s just not the same.
Osmond says she can’t be pushed away from the province. As much as Edmonton is her home, it’s not the same feeling she gets from Newfoundland and Labrador and joked that half of Newfoundland and Labrador lives in Edmonton already.
The Olympic and world champion wowed over a thousand residents with a hometown performance in the arena named for her yesterday.
She treated adoring fans to two programs and joined members of the Ice Crystals skate club for a performance.
Residents gathered later in the evening at St Gabriel’s Hall for an adult social that included a question and answer session with the Osmond.
