  • Ottenheimer Will Not Seek PC Leadership

Former cabinet minister John Ottenheimer says he will not be running for the Tory leadership.

Ottenheimer, who was edged out by Paul Davis during a contentious leadership race in 2014 that went to a third ballot, says he won’t be offering himself again because of timing.

Ottenheimer had previously indicated he was considering another run at the leadership.

The process could take another 12 to 18 months before a leadership convention is held, and Ottenheimer says that timing simply doesn’t work for him.
