One-after-one government members lined up in the House of Assembly today to bid farewell to long-time member and former premier, Paul Davis.
Davis delivered his parting speech to the House this afternoon as he steps down from elected life.
The former police officer, a former media relations officer with the RNC, started as a town councillor in CBS.
Davis was first elected to the House of Assembly in 2010 as the PC member for Topsail-Paradise.
He won the party leadership in 2014, and served as premier from September of that year to the general election in November of 2015 when the Liberals were elected to power.
Davis got a standing ovation in the House today as he bid farewell to his elected colleagues.
