Support for the Muskrat Falls project is at an all-time low.
That’s according to Corporate Research Associates, which says just four in ten Newfoundlanders and Labradorians asked support the project.
That’s the lowest level since tracking began in 2013.
The 40 per cent support is a drop from 45 per cent in November and down from 54 percent one year ago.
Chair and CEO Don Mills says the continued decline is not surprising given rising costs, and he predicts that support will continue to drop.
The survey of 401 Newfoundland and Labrador residents was conducted from May 4 to the 31 of this year. Overall results for the province are accurate to within plus or minus 4.9 percentage points in 95 out of 100 times.
