    Jane Pope is the Memorial female athlete of the week for leading the Sea-Hawks to a weekend sweep over the visiting Mount Allison Mounties. The fifth year forward finished the weekend with 2 goals and 1 assist.

    Head Coach Mike Power was pleased with Pope’s play in the opening weekend of the season.

    “JP has always been a major catalyst for out offence and this weekend was no exception. We are pleased that the girls have started out on the front foot and we will continue preparing for challenges what lie ahead.”

    Tyler Kirby is the Memorial male athlete of the week for his outstanding in the Sea-Hawks sweep of the Mount Allison Mounties in the opening weekend of AUS soccer action.

    Head Coach Jake Stanford felt Kirby set the tone for his team’s play this weekend.

    “Solid and dynamic play by Tyler Kirby led the Sea-Hawks to 2 wins and an outstanding offensive showing. Kirby was electric and threatening throughout both games and scored 2 goals in each which also give him the early lead in the AUS goal scoring.
    He was the catalyst in our attack and was pivotal up front in leading the team.”
