The RNC is appealing to the public for any CCTV footage they may have in connection with an attempted murder investigation. Twenty-six-year-old Michael Hannaford was arrested following an early-morning shooting on Friday, May 18. Police say it happened in the area of the Swilers Rugby Club on Crosbie Road around 5:30 in the morning.
Hannaford is accused of attempted murder and pointing a firearm at a female victim. She sustained non-life threatening injuries as a result. Hannaford is also charged with assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, weapons related charges and damage to property.
The RNC says the investigation into what happened is continuing. They want to speak with anyone nearby who might have CCTV cameras on their property, or anyone with a dash camera in their vehicle who were in the area at that time.
Meanwhile, Hannaford waived his bail hearing and consented to remand. He returns to court June 6th.
