The RNC is hoping that surveillance footage showing Cortney Lake walking in the area of Wellington Crescent in Mount Pearl will lead to more information on her movements and whereabouts on the evening she went missing.
Home surveillance images recently brought to police show the young woman walking away from her home on Wellington Crescent at 7:52 on the evening on Wednesday, June 7th.
Constable Geoff Higdon says they’re hoping that someone else may have caught images of Cortney after that time, and they’re encouraging people in area to check their home or business surveillance.
He’s encouraging people to contact police directly at 729-8000.
Higdon says people driving in the area at the time may even have caught images of Cortney on their dashcam that might be helpful to police. He says people might not even be aware they might have caught images of Cortney that could help in their investigation.
Lake was last seen wearing a grey parka with a pink liner, plaid shirt and black pants and wearing glasses. She is described as being 5 8 and 110-120 lbs with light brown hair. The latest surveillance footage shows she was carrying a large bag, or purse.
