The chair of the Grand Falls-Windsor Exploits Valley Salmon Festival says it’s time to take a serious look at the annual concert on Centennial Field.
The Town hosted a country show this past summer. The show lost nearly $80,000.
Councillor Shawn Feener says attracting concertgoers has proven difficult.
Feener says the days of the big concerts have now long past. He says they took a stab at a country show, but says with the economy, and getting people out for the show, is a “hard nut to crack.”
Feener says the town will be going to the public to hear their ideas on how to proceed.
He says one option would be to host all local talent. The town wants to hear from the public. Feener says he hopes to have a meeting soon.
