An incident at St. John’s International Airport created some delays over the supper hour.
VOCM was at the airport, and spoke with several passengers who confirmed a single male passenger was removed from a flight.
Director of Marketing and Business Development for the airport Marie Manning confirmed there was an unruly passenger on a flight that was heading to Halifax, and the Porter aircraft was returned to the gate.
She says Transport Canada made the decision for all passengers on the aircraft to be rescreened through security. She says they were entering the Departures Lounge and mixed with other passengers, so all passengers in the departures area needed to be rescreened.
VOCM News is tracking the story, and will provide updates when available.
