Another reminder to drivers from RCMP about the importance of driving to road conditions.
Of the twenty traffic accidents that occurred in the Holyrood RCMP jurisdiction between December 21 and January 3, 15 were single-vehicle accidents that police say could have been avoided.
Staff Sergeant Boyd Merrill says in all those cases, speeds too high for the road conditions played a role.
He says you can't drive as fast as you can go, but only as fast as you can stop. He says no matter your vehicle, tires or skill set, going too fast for conditions never ends well.
