Unifor’s Lana Payne calls the situation heartbreaking.
Thirty-two unionized workers at D-J Composites in Gander are now into their second year on the picket line. The U-S owned aerospace manufacturer locked out the employees in December of 2016.
Unifor has now made a second complaint to the labour board. D-J Composites was found guilty of bad faith bargaining in court last year.
Payne says this has been a very trying situation for the workers involved.
She says many now have part time jobs along with their picket line duty.
