Opposition Leader Paul Davis says a motion put to the House of Assembly on recycling bins needs to be tweaked to work.
The motion was put forward to government this week to create legislation that would force fast food chains, drive thru operators and gas stations to supply recycle bins on their properties.
Davis says he’s very pro-recycling and wants to see it work. But he says in talking with business owners, many have already done this. And he says unfortunately, it isn’t working.
He says a chain operator has told him they have put the bins there, and customers use them for garbage, too, defeating the purpose.
