People who live in Southlands where a young boy was struck by a vehicle last week have called a public meeting.
Angie Maher has been after St.John’s City Council for months to install traffic lights and speed bumps in the area of Treetop Drive. Her 6-year-old son was struck by a vehicle last week and rushed to the Janeway. The RNC have said that the driver of the car was not speeding.
Maher says traffic has increased because drivers want to avoid a set of lights on Southlands Boulevard.
The meeting to discuss traffic concerns takes place next Thursday night at the Southlands Community Centre from 8:30 to 9:30.
