  • Stop-Work Order on Astaldi One of Many Management Problems: Crosbie

Opposition Leader, Ches Crosbie, says the stop-work order issued on Astaldi is yet another troubling management problem at the Muskrat Falls site.

Crosbie says project costs have risen by $3.7-billion since the Liberals took power and he says questions remain about the implications of the stop-work order and the effect on the project’s schedule and costs.

Crosbie says the onus is on the province, through Nalcor, to secure the benefits of workers on the project and that the Premier needs to assure workers that their interests will be protected.

He wants to see the House of Assembly reopened to hold government to account.
