If you’re looking for a recipe for sweet potato wedge fries, look no further than PC leadership candidate Ches Crosbie.
Twitter has exploded after Shane Leonard posted to Twitter today asking others if they had received an “email blast” from Crosbie providing a sweet potato wedge fry recipe.

Communications and Policy Advisor with Crosbie’s campaign Devin Drover says the recipes included in their regular news letters are part of an intentional strategy.
He says Crosbie is very interested in great recipes and good food and always includes that as part of his regular news letter.
Others started to chime in, including Crosbie’s competitor, Tony Wakeham, who responded “the only recipe we should be interesting in right now, is one that gets Newfoundland & Labrador back on track.”

Seems a tad weird to add a recipe to a political email. I want a recipe to fixing the problems the province faces, not one for sweet potatoes.

Following the curious rush of attention, Ches Crosbie got involved, offering up a moose sausage recipe next month.
