The man who lost his life in an accident yesterday in Trinity South is being remembered as a person who would do anything to help someone in need.
Thomas Gardiner was struck by a truck between Heart’s Content and New Perlican yesterday morning while working as a flagperson.
A close family friend, Susan Woodman, was expecting a visit from Tom and his wife Lori this weekend.
She says he was at her home on Monday, and when he left he said, “See you the weekend.” She says Tom and his wife celebrated their 20th anniversary this past November. She says he was an all-around amazing person.
Woodman says Tom, who was recently given a clean bill of health after battling cancer, was known for offering a helping hand whenever he could.
