The mother of Quinn Butt says she and her family will be ready when, or if, her ex-husband ever goes back to trial.
Trent Butt this week filed a handwritten appeal of his first degree murder conviction and life sentence in the death of his 5-year-old daughter in April of 2016.

Butt admitted to killing his daughter, but said he doesn’t remember it, and that it wasn’t pre-meditated. He also pleaded guilty to lighting his house on fire. A jury found him guilty of first degree murder for which he received an automatic life sentence with no eligibility of parole for 25 years.

Quinn’s mother, Andrea Gosse, says she believes Butt is delaying the inevitable.
She says no matter what happens, she believes the outcome will be the same. She calls it a waste of other people’s time and energy and she thinks Butt believes he shouldn’t be incarcerated for what he did.
