There have been two more fatal accidents in Newfoundland involving motorcycles.
RCMP say a motorcycle was travelling westbound on the TCH just west of the Holyrood access exit at about 3:00 p.m. when the rider lost control of the machine. The 53-year-old man was rushed to hospital in St. John’s, but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
In a separate incident, Glovertown RCMP say a motorcycle which was eastbound on Route 310 near the causeway on the Eastport Peninsula crashed, again at about 3:00 p.m.. The 64-year-old man who was driving was rushed to hospital in Gander where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
On Monday, a woman lost her life after a crash on the Northern Peninsula involving a car and three motorcycles. She was on one of the motorcycles. Two men, who were also on the bikes, were seriously injured.
