An amateur musician from the province’s west coast is getting a surprise chance to take the stage at the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent tonight.
Kim Nippard of Stephenville responded to a K-ROCK call-in question “what’s on your bucket list?”. She said it’s been a lifelong dream of hers to play at Carnegie Hall.
Nippard says she hung up the phone she assumed that was it, until she received another call giving her the opportunity of a lifetime.
She says she had a chat with the K-Rock Morning Show Team and they listened to a few of her YouTube videos. She thought that was that, until K-Rock called her back and invited her to perform on the last night of the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent.

She says this will no doubt be the biggest crowd she has ever played in front of, as the largest venue she has performed in is the Stephenville Arts and Culture Centre.
Nippard says she’s containing her nerves, for now.
She says she is absolutely excited, and won’t be nervous until she gets on stage and her lips hit the microphone.
Kim Nippard takes the stage at the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent before The Trews and Matt Mays tonight. The gates open and music begins at 6:00 p.m.
