All eyes are on the big land as the Labrador Winter Games officially get underway.
Opening ceremonies, including the lighting of the games torch, will take place this evening at the E.J. Broomfield Memorial Arena in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Premier Dwight Ball will be in attendance along with the region’s four MHAs.
The Labrador Winter Games are held every three years and feature traditional and modern sports and skill competitions.
A helicopter will be low flying over Happy Valley-Goose Bay as part of the Labrador Winter Games opening ceremony. 5 Wing Goose Bay would like to advise the public that the fly will take place between 7:30 and 8:30 this evening.
The helicopter will land at E.J. Bloomfield Airport.
