A young artist from central is gaining international attention for an emotional song.
Robyn Slade’s single “Hey”, which features Clint Curtis, follows the story of a father and daughter who are meeting each other for the first time in an airport.
Slade says a lot of people have reached out to her with similar stories since the song’s release. She says she has had many private messages sharing stories of family reunions.
Many American groups advocating for shared parenting rights have reached out to Slade since the song was released.
Slade’s mom, Margaret, says the group Americans for Equal Shared Parenting told the artist that her song will save lives. She says the group told her this song will give people hope that they will reunite with their loved ones.
