Concerned for the families of Bell Island. :

I can remember many years ago there was a Family that terrorized Bell Island and they were banned from ever returning back to Bell Island...What is the difference here they have done enough they to should be banned as well. Personally these 2 are no better. Enough with the excuses of mental health and drug use. That's there excuse for this crime what was there excuse for previous ones. What are all the people of Bell Island to do when these 2 get out, because they will get out. And again we will be reading up on these 2. A nice little tap on the hand and again they will be started on yet another rampage only next time the elderly citizens might not be able to escape from there path. I would strongly suggest all Bell Island start some sort of petition to keep these 2 off there Island. Safety should be #1. Stand Up Bell Islanders and Protect what is rightfully yours. Make it be known if you wish to act like an animal we will cage you like one. Best of Luck to all who remain here in this Beautiful little community.

I think it's time for the people of Bell Island to take a stand! The courtroom should be filled to overflowing with residents of Bell Island. Let the judge know that you are all tired of them letting these people off with a slap on the wrist! They say it takes a community to raise a child......come on Bell Island, tell them you've had enough!!!!!

Living Safe :

I had butterflys in my stomach waiting to see what was going to happen - I am happy to hear we will be living safe even if its only for a short time. I say this because I don't have alot of confidence in our justice system. I really don't mind my tax monies going towards keeping these guys behind bars as it means a good night sleep for me on the Island.

i agree with mdc...it's time to make these criminals responsible for their actions. there's lot's of work to be done in st. john's and surrounding areas so maybe it's time to put these do-nothings to work!!

Here we go again! Take the Social Workers off the judicial benches and throw the book at these reprobate! By the time the Courts get through with fact that these jerks 'had a poor upbringing; and/or were drugged out of their skulls; and/or had some birth defects; or, were just bored...our justice system, it seems of late, will likely sentence these reprobate to three weeks in Disneyland, all expenses paid! Sometimes, just sometimes, we are led to believe that justice "DOES PAY".

Now we are going to hear once again about how these poor guys had issues beyond their control that led them to drugs and crime.
If the prov and fed gov got together and made a decision we could use BellIsland as a place to put a prison.Atleast those poor young fellas would still be home,and we could then justify pumping money into the ferry system.

Throw the book at them......they must have prior records also. Our justice system is just a joke and the law does seem to favor the criminals these days.Sad thing is its going to cost monet to send these losers to trial, to house them in jail, to pay for a legal defense(unless they've got parents foolish enough to pay because I doubt that either of them works)......and we the taxpayers will be losing again.....Give them a couple of clouts with a 2x4 and send them home.....that would send a better more cost effective message
